JCQ Services: A Leap of Faith That Started It All

“Surround yourself with people who challenge your thinking, stay curious, and never stop learning. Growth comes from being open to new ideas and taking smart risks.”
— Juan Quiroga, President & CEO, JCQ Services
A Leap of Faith That Started It All
Juan Quiroga’s entrepreneurial journey began not with a grand vision, but with responsibility. In 1997, as a young father at just 18 years old, Juan knew he needed to provide for his family. Alongside his mother, he launched a small cleaning business servicing new homes and office spaces. What started as survival quickly became a proving ground for resilience, discipline, and grit.
One early moment defined his mindset. Faced with an opportunity to clean windows on a high-rise building despite being afraid of heights, Juan said yes. With his son’s future in mind, fear took a back seat to responsibility. That willingness to take calculated risks, even when uncomfortable, became a guiding principle that still defines JCQ today.
That mindset led to the formal launch of JCQ Services in 2000, transforming a modest operation into a growing enterprise built on trust and follow-through.
From Cleaning Services to Integrated Solutions
Today, JCQ Services looks quite different from its early days. The company has evolved into a diversified operation that delivers integrated construction, warehousing, and logistics services, primarily for hospitality, tourism, and other high-demand sectors.
What sets JCQ apart is not just what it offers but how those offerings work together. While many construction firms stop at project execution, JCQ extends its value by owning the logistics and warehousing side of the equation. This allows the company to provide flexibility, speed, and responsiveness that competitors simply cannot match.
In Central Florida’s tourism-driven economy, where much of the work happens overnight, having control over equipment, materials, and logistics is a gamechanger. JCQ’s integrated model enables seamless execution when timelines are tight, and expectations are high.
A Workforce Built on Trust and Capability
JCQ’s success is rooted in its people. The company employs more than 100 full-time team members, supported by a network of over 200 subcontractors. Across construction, logistics, warehousing, safety, and corporate operations, experienced leaders and skilled professionals form the backbone of the organization.
As the company continues to grow, Juan remains focused on developing leaders from within while also attracting high-caliber talent that strengthens both operations and culture. One of JCQ’s recent hires is Anne-Marie Hayward, former publisher of the Orlando Business Journal, who joins the team as Vice President of Growth and Development. Her addition reflects JCQ’s commitment to bringing in seasoned executives with strong leadership experience and strategic insight to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Steady, Sustainable Growth
JCQ Services has achieved consistent year-over-year growth of approximately 20 percent, driven by repeat clients, long-term contracts, and the expansion of integrated services within existing customer relationships. As Juan notes, growth is amplified when clients themselves are growing, and JCQ has positioned itself as a trusted partner alongside them.
Rather than chasing rapid expansion at the expense of stability, the company has prioritized disciplined, sustainable growth that allows systems, leadership, and culture to scale together.
Partnerships That Strengthen the Business Community
Strategic relationships have played a key role in JCQ’s journey. Engagement with organizations such as GrowFL, the Orlando Economic Partnership, and the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando has kept the company closely aligned with regional economic priorities and workforce development initiatives.
These partnerships provide insight, peer collaboration, and opportunities to think more strategically about leadership, innovation, and long-term impact reinforcing JCQ’s role as a committed contributor to Central Florida’s business ecosystem.
A Family-First Culture Anchored in Safety and Respect
JCQ Services remains a family-owned business, and that identity shapes its culture. As the company has doubled in size over the past four years, structure and policies have evolved, but the family-first mindset has remained constant.
Safety is non-negotiable and embedded in every decision. Respect, accountability, and teamwork guide daily operations, with a clear goal: ensuring that every employee returns home safely to their family at the end of the day.
The company encourages volunteerism, hosts JCQ Family Day events, and fosters relationships that extend beyond the job site, strengthening bonds and reinforcing shared values.
Navigating Growth and Looking Ahead
Rapid growth brings challenges, from scaling systems to developing leadership quickly. JCQ has addressed these by investing in people, improving processes, and staying disciplined around its core values.
Looking forward, workforce development and market shifts remain key challenges. Juan is focused on training, technology adoption, and staying adaptable, ensuring the company remains resilient in an evolving environment.
Giving Back Where It Matters Most
Community involvement is part of JCQ’s identity. The organization supports initiatives such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, contributing to construction and renovation projects that create meaningful spaces for children and families facing difficult circumstances.
JCQ also supports Kids Beating Cancer, an organization that provides resources, hope, and encouragement to children fighting serious illness. In addition, the company remains active in economic development initiatives across Central Florida, supporting workforce development and local business growth.
Giving back, Juan believes, is how strong communities are built by investing time, talent, and resources where they are needed most.
What the GrowFL Recognition Represents
Being named a GrowFL Company to Watch carries deep meaning for Juan and the entire JCQ team. The recognition reflects not only business performance, but the collective effort of employees, leadership, clients, and family who have supported the journey.
It is a moment of pride and a reminder that the company’s progress is being seen across Florida.
Advice for the Next Generation
Juan’s advice is shaped by experience and mentorship. Surround yourself with people who challenge you. Seek mentors you trust. Stay curious and open to learning at every stage.
Real growth, he believes, comes from partnership in both business and life. And the courage to keep saying yes, even when it feels uncomfortable, can change everything.
