Was there an “ah-ha” moment that led you to the company?
Cromulence was founded by members of the Legitimate Business Syndicate, organizers of a very large hacking competition hosted in Las Vegas Nevada. We started working on DARPA’s Cyber Grand Challenge (CGC) and grew from that moment into the company we are today by continuously challenging our team to strive to new heights. This heritage of Cromulence’s founding is still a big part of the company to this day.

Cromulence was rooted in a belief that everyone can learn, grow, and succeed. That feeds our culture of inspiring new employees and runs in the ethos of everything we do. Be passionate about what we do and that will drive innovation and success.

Do you have a proudest moment?
I’m continuously proud of everything this team has accomplished so far but a few moments standout 1) opening our new office location 2) being recognized by our competitors, some much larger than us, as premiere providers in this industry and 3) seeing our team create an amazing competition with Hack-A-Sat that was recognized as class-leading in the industry.
What does it mean to be selected as an Honoree?
I’m honored and feel strongly about Florida, and more specifically, Melbourne Florida as a high-tech business area. New and innovative technology companies are being started in Melbourne Florida and as a resident and being born here as well, I’m proud to be a part of it.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank for getting you to where you are now?
I would like to thank the support of my wife and having immense patience over the years. Starting and growing a small company is a lot of work, especially with a young family, and without her support I would never have been able to do it. I would also like to thank the rest of the Cromulence leadership team, Cromulence’s CFO Chelsea Moletz, and COO Steve Wood for joining on this journey. Without them, the company wouldn’t be where it is today. Lastly, I would like to thank all the employees of the company for making Cromulence such a great place to work.
What is your advice for aspiring or fellow business owners?
Find a way to maintain your passion and guide the business with a vision. Be that driving force for the team as that is what will drive the business forward. Keep thinking ahead and try not to bog down on the past or the little things, learn from your mistakes and move on.
