Was there an ‘ah-ha’ moment that led you to start your company?

Over the years we have had numerous a-ha moments but one in particular is our development of industry complimentary matches so that our laminates would match existing needs in the market place in North America.

What’s your company culture like?

Our company is very focused on developing our people. We utilize Culture Index and manage to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all all approach.

What is your competitive edge?

Dackor is very quick to develop surface technologies that outperform the competition. Our laminates have more durability than our competitors.

Being a member of a CEO Group such as CEO Nexus has helped us to implement best practices and learn from other successful business.

Dackor has plans to double in size over the next 5 years. We have increased capacity and therefore have a clear runway for growth.

What does it mean to be selected as an Honoree?

We are proud to be an Honoree because its a sign that others have recognized our commitment and open mindedness to ideas and to implement these ideas into success.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank for getting you to where you are now?

I’d like to thank Steve Quello firstly for nominating Dackor but secondly for being a trusted advisor.

What is your advice for aspiring or fellow business owners?

My biggest advice to starting a business model would be create a business model that creates positive cash flow rather than relying upon operating debt alone in starting a business. By creating a product or service that generates profit it becomes the fuel for the business to survive and thrive.
